Equine Changes
December 30, 2017
Dear Salem Valley Client,
Dr. Erin Trawick-Smith has elected to leave the Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic and establish her own equine ambulatory practice based in East Haddam, CT. She can be contacted by email at jackson.ea.dvm@gmail.com.
After 34 years of providing general equine medicine and surgery services, I will be limiting the equine portion of the practice at the Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic to dentistry services. As a specialist in equine dentistry, I will continue to provide both routine equine dental examinations and treatments as well as specialty services. Dr. Sarah Slater and I will continue to provide general small animal medicine and surgery, as well as specialty dentistry services for small animals.
Please make arrangements with Dr. Trawick-Smith or another equine practitioner for continuing preventative medicine and emergency care for your horse. Many equine practitioners will only provide emergency services for their regular clients. It is important that you establish a new relationship with an area equine veterinarian as soon as possible. Feel free to contact the office if you need your horse’s medical records transferred.
For those of you who have used the Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic for both your small animals and horses, we hope that you will continue to choose us for veterinary care for your cats and dogs, and specialist-level dentistry for all species. Dr. Sarah Slater and I, and the entire staff of the Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic wish you a very Happy New Year.
